Former pro football players Harris, Mitchell drop by Greenwood practice bringing along their perform

Harris made one of the most famous plays in NFL history in 1972 when he caught quarterback Terry Bradshaw’s pass that deflected off Oakland Raiders safety Jack Tatum and ran for a game-winning touchdown. The play, nicknamed the ‘Immaculate Reception,’ led the Steelers to a 13-7 win in the AFC divisional round of the playoffs.

The nine-time Pro Bowler won four Super Bowls with Pittsburgh and rushed for 12,120 career yards and 91 touchdowns before being named to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1990.

“We were thinking about branding; we gave that some thought and we said, ‘You know what, let’s make the brand local,’” Harris said. “Every high school and their teams are a brand. How do we enhance that and become part of that brand?”

The Greenwood-specific drink, trademarked Eagleade, is part of a marketing strategy that aims to localize each drink with designated mascot names such as Cavalierade and Spartanade.
